V/H/S99 Exclusive Trailer Debut

Ahead of the film’s world premiere on Thursday at the Toronto International Film FestivalIGN can exclusively reveal the first trailer for V/H/S99, the latest installment in the long-running horror anthology franchise.

You can watch the trailer via the player above or the embed below.

According to the official Studio71 production synopsis, “V/H/S/99 harkens back to the last analog days of VHS punk rock, while taking a giant leap into the hellish new millennium. In V/H/S/99, a thirsty teenager’s home video leads to a series of horrific revelations.”

The anthology film features segments directed by Maggie Levin (Into The Dark: My Valentine), Johannes Roberts (Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City)Flying Lotus (Kuso), Tyler MacIntyre (Tragedy Girls) and Joseph & Vanessa Winter (Deadstream).

“The last year of the ’90s was a perfect playground for us,” producer Josh Goldbloom said in a press release when the project was announced last August.

“DVDs overtook VHS, the Blair Witch took the world by storm, and fears of Y2K created a sense of apocalyptic dread. Add to that 6 of the world’s most creative genre filmmakers, and we’re sure this is the biggest, baddest, wildest V/H/S yet.”

V/H/S99 will be released on October 20 exclusively on the Shudder streaming service in North America, the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.
